Out Of My Mind - On Purpose

“You’re such a dreamer.”

“Your goals are unrealistic.”
“You can’t do that.”
“You want to make $10K a month… and that’s just your starting point?”
“That’s impossible.”
“You need to set the bar lower.”
“You’re going to disappoint yourself.”
“You’re out your damn mind.”

I’ve been called crazy more times than I can count.

The looks.
The silence.
The side-eyes.

I’ve never been doubted more in my life.

And that used to bother me.

I tried to tell myself it didn’t come from a bad place.
That maybe it was just a lack of understanding.

But then something clicked.

Long before your family and friends believe in you… someone else will.

Someone else will:

Buy the product
Book the service
Share your content
Believe in your vision

Someone else will listen.
Someone else will understand.
Someone else will just get it — without needing the full explanation.

For the longest time, when people asked what I do…

I didn’t even know how to answer.

Not because I couldn’t explain it—
but because explaining it meant a full breakdown.

And even then?

There would still be questions.

So now, I keep it simple:

I can show you better than I can tell you.

Because what I do isn’t one thing.

I’m self-employed.
I run multiple businesses.
I build businesses for other people.
I network in my community.

I’m a mom.
A writer.
A creator.
A visionary.

I have a boutique.
A t-shirt business.
I clean homes on the side.

And most importantly?

I create opportunities — not just for me, but for other people too.

And yet… people still ask:

“How do you even afford rent in this economy?”

Truth is…

I got tired.

Tired of living in places that didn’t feel safe.
Tired of settling.
Tired of working hard just to stay stuck.

I did everything I was told to do:

Go to school ✔️
Get good grades ✔️
Play sports ✔️
Go to college ✔️
Get the degree ✔️
Get the “dream job” ✔️

And somehow…

I still felt stuck.

That’s when something in me shifted.

Because if doing everything “right” still leads to a life that feels wrong…

Then maybe the path isn’t broken — it’s just not yours.

What I Wish I Knew Sooner

A degree gives you knowledge — not freedom.
Security can be the illusion keeping you stuck.
Multiple streams of income aren’t optional anymore.
Your environment will either grow you or drain you.
Not everyone will understand your vision — and they don’t have to.
You don’t need permission to start.
Failure isn’t the opposite of success — it’s part of it.
Consistency will take you further than motivation ever will.
Time is your most valuable asset — stop trading it cheaply.
You can reinvent yourself as many times as it takes.
